A CED manifesto?

On December 13, 2010

The Scottish Social Enterprise Coalition asks “How can Scotland create a prosperous, sustainable economy inspired by our national values of fairness and social justice? How can Scotland enhance and improve the quality of public services?” and goes on to say… “The answer is social enterprise – businesses which are already transforming lives and communities across Scotland through reinvesting their profits for social and environmental purposes”

In response to this the Social Enterprise Coalition has developed a manifesto here

In preparation for their elections in 2011, this manifesto outlines and advocates actions that government can take towards developing a national culture of social enterprise. This includes enhancing public sector services through social enterprise, skills development, social enterprise to grow sustainable and green communities and enabling access to capital.

When we get back from the holiday period, our attention will also be on central government elections… I wonder what a New Zealand CED manifesto could look like?
