Ian Leader
Ian has worked in and with the community for the best part of 20 years. For over a decade, he has specialised in corporate citizenship, community investment and cross-sector collaboration. Ian recently joined Westpac as their Manager Community Engagement after six years as AUT University’s Community Relations Manager. During his time at AUT, Ian latterly held the role of Operations Director for the Centre for Community Investment and Development.
Having left school wanting to be a rock and roll star, Ian has held a variety of roles for a variety of organisations. Forced into a more permanent working situation by a mortgage, children and declining hairline, Ian happened upon Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during his time with Auckland City’s Community Development team. He has been obsessed with the subject ever since.
