Lindsay Jeffs
Lindsay is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is a part-time lecturer in the Unitec Graduate Diploma in Not-for-Profit Management and Manager of the Christchurch Small Business Enterprise Centre (a not-for-profit organisation delivering services to disadvantaged individuals entering into employment or self-employment) the Canterbury Community Business Trust (a community-owned business enterprise which promotes the development of social enterprises and operates a driving school) and the Director of the School of Social Enterprises.
He is an accredited social accountant and auditor with the Social Audit Network UK and holds several governance positions being a New Zealand Community Economic Development Trust, YMCA Christchurch and the GreenBag NZ Foundation; Director of Hiking NZ, Socrates Fund Management, LJ Associates and a Board Member of Greenpeace New Zealand and the Institute of Accredited Business Consultants New Zealand.
He is a past Trustee of the Canterbury Community Trust, Board Member of Economic Development Association of New Zealand, Chairperson of Small Business Enterprise Centres of New Zealand Incorporated, Director of Social Audit NZ, the Social Entrepreneurs Network of Australia and New Zealand, a Trustee of COMMACT Aotearoa and Coordinator of the Canterbury Local Employment Coordinating Group.
Lindsay’s particular fields of interest include community economic development; not-for-profit, social and environmental accounting; social enterprises; social entrepreneurship; social finances; sustainable business and labour market development.
