Lisa Woolley
Lisa Woolley is the CEO of VisionWest Community Trust (formerly the Friendship Centre Trust). Founded by members of the Glen Eden Baptist Church community in 1988, the Trust is one of the largest community based organisations in West Auckland. Employing over 400 people with 70 volunteers; impacting the lives of over 7,000 members of the community each year and an annual turnover of around nine million dollars. The Trust is well known for its innovative and holistic approach to community services.
Lisa has been working within Community Services for most of her adult life, either as a volunteer or a paid employee and is passionate about working in the community ensuring that social justice issues are addressed such as poverty, unemployment, housing and maginalization. For the last thirteen years she has been working for VisionWest Community Trust. Her role is oversight of all the community services of the Trust; ensuring that the vision and mission of the Trust is worked out in the community; involvement with community development projects such as addressing homelessness and ensuring that the Trust is in a financially viable and sustainable position for the future. Lisa has a Graduate Diploma in Not for Profit Management and is currently studying towards a Masters in Social Practice.
