Pete Russell

Pete Russell is founder and chief of Ooooby, an Auckland based social enterprise and local food movement with over 3,500 members.  

Prior to kick starting Ooooby, Pete was the co-founder and CEO of Source Food Australia which grew from zero to $12 million annual sales within 2 years of start-up.  Pete’s entrepreneurial career has always been considerate of social benefit, however he is now placing social benefit before personal profit which changes the game completely.  Pete is now tapping a much deeper and richer font of energy and passion than aspirations of personal gain could ever conjure.  

If we are to benefit from living in a free society, then we need to put social freedom before personal advancement.  Pete will be telling his story about the shift from capitalist entrepreneurialism to social entrepreneurialism and the insights he has had along the way.
